NEW HAVEN POLICE MAKE FOUR ARRESTS & SEIZE NARCOTICS IN ROBBERY INVESTIGATION
(11/26/2008) NEW HAVEN- New Haven Police arrested four suspects on Tuesday for their involvement in a robbery incident Tuesday morning on Osborn Avenue. The victim in the incident to police he was walking home when he was suddenly approached by four males who displayed handguns and took cash and a cell phone from him. Shortly after the incident, officers found males matching the description given by the victim pushing a vehicle on Whalley Avenue near Sherman Avenue. Officers proceeded to apprehend the individuals and upon positively identifying the four individuals, with the assistance of the victim, and finding the stolen cell phone in the coat pocket of 21-year-old Gerald Hampton II, all four suspects were arrested.
Arrested for this incident were: Hampton of New Haven, 21-year-old Ronald Oawan of New Haven, 22-year-old Gregory Jones of New Haven and a 17-year-old of New Haven. All four suspects received various conspiracy, larceny and robbery charges while the 17-year-old also received controlled substance charges.
